Anyone mounted gauges into..?

Into the front of the dash, basically on the passanger side, right above the glovebox, just wondering if ther is enough room, to cut out and have depth to mount gauges, with a custom made pod?

I wanna get oil temp and oil pressure gauges, but I dont' wanna stick them on the a pillar, cause I wanna save that for boost and AF.

Ya, well I was thinking of mounting them slanted of course, I can probably make a piece and fibreglass it, but I wanted to get vinyl to match the current, so it looks proper, anyone know where you can locate that?

I am going to put my guages here as well. You will need to cut the air vent to the passanger door. Then you will have to clolse the vent up. Should be able to do it ok. If you beat me to it, let me know how it turns out. Or post picks.

So you say you can read them clearly?

I wanted to angle them with a fibreglass piece I could make, but if you say you can read them just fine whats the point.

Pic looks great What size are your gauges? I have 2 1/4 inch for mine. Was it difficult to close off the open end of the air vent?

I forgot to ask, were you able to keep your digital water temp running, or did you have to disconnect it?

Yes i was able to keep the digital temp working. Also, there's a couple of ways to deal with the a/c hose that goes to the p/s door. You can find a way to cover up the holes you cut to wire the gauges. You can completely remove the metal bracket that sits inside the dash and move the a/c hose so you don't have to cut it. Or you can go to home depot and replace it with a move flexible type of hose. Or if you don't care about your passenger getting air, then just leave the holes

The prelude is not that wide so you can still read them by glancing over. The hardest one to really see clearly is the furtherest one to the right. I'll try to take a digital photo of my point of view from the driver seat to show you.
