so yeah, I bought a 94 prelude Si and it has a Black Top JDM H23a Non - Vtec in it.
the clutch is on the way out and the exhuast has a hole in it, so im planning on pulling it apart and rebuilding it fresh because the engine only has 50k on it. i Just want to know what i would have to do to swap for the JDM Blue top vtec head. and also if anyone has suggestions on headers, exhuast, and clutch kits that are better than average. im looking for a really clean low sound. not loud or obnoxious. i tried using search, but there isnt much on this topic so im hoping you guys can help.

BUMP, i have the same motor and want to know about this also.
i read on an old post some where that you cant swap the h23 vtec head on our motor but i think thats b/s seeing how you can swap a h22 head on it i dont see why not.

BTW! if you take your motor apart can you PLEASE! let me know if the h23a jdm non vtec is open or closed deck????

i read on many different sites and some say closed and some say open and im not sure which is correct and i dont have the time or money right now to take mine apart
