nah, from what I understand they are just inserts...so not really removing the motor, but supporting it in place.

some people get sick of them, some people love them.

less wheel hop. but you can feel the engine a lot more. ex: if your not smooth with the clutch you will feel the whole car vibrate.

dunno, I hear all good things about them, except the vibration...all the power goes to your wheels...

Its good for us 4th gen peeps, motor mounts can wear over time.....good 40 dollar investment...(again from what I hear)

my car shakes when I downshift into 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. I'm now thinking it is probably a worn motor mount.

where can I grab a set of these? and could someone give a quick summary of the install procedure? thanks.

yea i do believe you have to shave rubber. CHeck out the New HCI(hot compact Import i believe) i think it was and it had an install on motor mounts. it good cause it remove wheel hop, but the draw back is that you feel the entire engine.

You do not need to modify your existing mounts to use the inserts, just make sure that the motor isnt putting any strain on the mounts when you try to insert them. I had them for about 3 months, but they arent very solid. They are better than stock, but not good enough for me.

I ordered place racing polyurethane mounts, and received them yesterday. They are 10X better than the inserts. Cost me $412 for all 4 from www.afterhourzperformance.com

412 bucks for motor mounts??? damn, that's pretty expensive!! I'm interested in the inserts. I wonder, since you get more power to the ground if they can help a 1/4 mile time.

my friend had solid motor mounts in his Civic when he dropped his B16 in. No rubber, no poly, just solid metal motor mounts. The whole car shook at idle, but once you got going it was simply amazing. I want to get Poly mounts someday, but I have other stuff planned in my head before those.

I've heard elsewhere on PO that you'll have to roll a jack under the engine, and jack it up, just a little bit, to alleviate strain on the underside of the existing, stock mounts, so that you can slide the inserts in. I think that this way, you might not have to shave anything off the inserts.
