I have a couple of WAV. files of my car on the dyno, as well as the sound of my TurboXS RFL BOV. I can't figure out how to post a WAV. file though. Imagestation won't allow them.
Well, you completely lost me there. I am pretty much compouter illiterate. I know how to get online, turn it on, off, play games and music. that's about it. i know how to get into DOS, but as for finding the file, and renaming it, forget it. I don't know how to do that.
Find out where the file is in windows explorer. Left click it once, making it highlighted. then hit F2. This is the shortcut key to "rename" or you can right click and goto rename...
Add .jpg to the end of it.. this might trick it... the dos name would then be wavefile.wav.jpg ... it might work.
type: cd windows
you get: c:/windows
type: cd desktop
you get c:/windows/desktop
type: dir
you get: listed all files on your desktop...look for your file
type: rename turbo.wav turbo.jpg
you get: "file renamed" or some other ish't confirming the command
this changes the complete file extension to ".jpg" none of that "turbo.wav.jpg" crap. then upload for all of us to enjoy.
ya know this better be one sweet ass wav file for all this trouble

I'm assuming you mean "command prompt" Every PC system running windows Since W2k with NTFS does not run or support DOS. Dos and command are NOT the same thing. While the command lines are the same in some instances the program is not. MSDOS was run on windows Systems up to and including the Final win 9x system "windows ME" Windows s2k and Windows Xp contained a very slimed down code for MS DOS for bootstrapping only namely creating a Startup Disk for use in floppy drives.
Just get a wave editor open the file and save it again as any extension you like.
