Anyone got Tein Flex Coil-overs w/ EDFC?

I am thinking about upgrading my suspension to the Tein Flex Coilovers. I don't know anyone that has installed the EDFC on a 4th gen yet and I just wanted to know if it was compatable. On Tein's website it says that there isn't enough room. I called and they said it would work. I just wanna make sure it would work before making a purchase.

Let me know what you come up with, If you dont want to be the guinee pig, I will be. I will be ordering them close to june or july, if and only if I can get them with EDFC.

Yeah, that's just it. If the EDFC doesn't fit the Flex on the 4th gen, then I will probably just get the SS w/o EDFC (EDFC only works with Flex unless you modify the SS).

I heard you could use the EDFC with the SS if you use the pillow mounts.

The reason being, is without the pillow mount, the struts will sit too high for the EDFC motors. The pillow mount will lower the strut enough to have room for the motors.

The EDFC is optional on the SS because the pillow mounts are optional for the SS. But the Flex comes standard with the pillow mounts.

An electronic motor that sits at the top of each of the 4 coilovers and enables the user to adjust the damper amount from within the vehicle. A very nice feature so that you don't have to get out of the car and do it all manually. It is also nice because there are 3 memory settings that you can set.

Here is a pic of the unit:

And here is the front:

And here are the motors:

Can you say....badass?

damn that is nice. thats why i didnt buy it yet, i gotta save stuff for when i graduate and get phat checks.

So does the weight inside of the car matter whle adjusting ? like if you have 4 people in the car, can u still adjust or the vehicle has to be limited to a certain about of weight for the adjustment to be safe from any damage to the units ?

I think it just adjust to whatever settings you want. Like if you set it to 10/10 and more people got in, it wouldn't adjust to make the ride feel the same with the same amount of weight.

I was thinking about building a similar system as part of a senior design project. Its pretty simple and cheap when you think about it: 4 stepper motors and a means of control.
