Anyone ever install a A/F gauge into the...

Spot that our cig lighter is? I tried searching but couldn't find anyone....


Im thinking to replace my ash tray and cig lighter, with vafc and a/f gauge.

Do you think you could get a gauge that small? I can't imagine that being any bigger than 1.5" tops. I know a couple people that have made new molds for that entire piece. I think Jess(J92S) did it.

Well I don't mean to fit it into the same enclosure of the cig lighter, I would cut it out to fit but, ya you brought up a valid point will it fit beside the vafc...

Actually i planned on doing this about a week ago but my friend didnt have anymore dremel bits. my VAFC is mounted in place of the ashtray but the only problem with mounting the Air/fuel gauge there is you will still be able to see the outline of were the cig lighter hole was. the top and bottom will still be showing the lil indented ring because the gauge isnt tall enough. still think it would look good though. if i get around to doing it this week i will post pics.

If you take your time and be patient I think you could make it work. You are gonna have to fill the ash tray part and let it sit for awhile. Might take a couple of days to get it right. Maybe if you can track down a gauge holder that fits your gauges you could trace the hole for a better fit.

I personally wouldn't give up my change holder

heh..... ya no im not gonna rush this at all..... i got friends that do fibreglass work for this kinda stuff, so if I need they can do somethin for me
