Anyone Dyed their Seats/Carpets?

Well the time has come, my carpets looking a lil faded, as are the seats, I'm also stripping the rear out and using black subcarpet to keep the noise down just a little.

Has anyone dyed the front seats/carpet before?

Any advice, products, techniques?

Thanks in advance!!

I was detailing the interior of my car recently and thinking the same thing. Can this actually be done.

As far as I know it can, its gonna be alot of work, I just need a heads up on some products - my plan is to do the seats black, with a white Prelude badge on the headrests, Carpets will be going black too - I've never liked the grey!

Hijacked: Is there any way to die leather without it coming off later? I want black leather, I have the tan leather. Damn 96s...

Just an FYI if you are looking to have the carpet redone and seats recovered. I just paid $1100 for new carpet, rear seats, panel inserts, and arm rests in leather.

Granted the leather and carpet is nicer than the OE Honda. Still nice though.

hey Dave, if you ever get around to doing this, I want to see the results and how you did it. I want to dye mine in black as well, but have no experience in this kind of stuff.

Most fabric dyes are not going to be UV stable. . .meaning they will fade quickly.
