There was a huge disussion about this just before the boards were separated. Search for a topic (or topics) posted by "Kraut Lude" in the general discussion forum. There's some parts you can get right from manhonda.com, hparts.com, or any place along those OEM lines. Stiffer shock bushings were also considered.

There was a partial solution posted way back by Matt Hyder. Basically, you have to shim the upper mount bolt and lubricate the rubber.

Shock knock is nothing compared to Tein upper pillowball knock. You learn to live with it after a while.

I did Matt Hyder's solution a while ago and it worked. It was two shims and some thick dielectric grease on the top of the rear shocks. I think he came out later kind of not recommending that solution but it worked for me. Having my Tanabe Sustec H's and Konis installed today so let's hope it doesn't come back.

Just the sounds it makes? (which are quite a few) or what?

Yep, the knock is just those annoying little knocks & rattles you hear in the rear shocks, which grow in number and intensity over time. Fun, fun, fun...

Shock knock comes from the rear when you go over a bump. Some cars clunk mine was more of a squeak, I was glad to get rid of it.
