or vise versa, or any other conversion. i have an SE with tan leather, the seats carpet doorpanels are all crap. the seats are ripped, and the doorpanels anf carpet are dirty as hell. so i decided to/am going to buy a complete black leather conversion. how difficult is it? i figured it would be fairly easy, a couple of bolts here and there...
I have all the black leather peice sitting here. I'm just converting from cloth to leather, tho. I think the tan to black would be more invloved with the door peice and what not...

I have a 96 Si that had some weird blue/stripe OEM cloth stuff. I put a full black leather interior in, no problem. And I typically screw everything up. Seats and panels have to come out, but they all do pretty easy. Overall, a very easy and rewarding conversion.

I got really lucky and found my complete interior on Ebay for $600, which was well worth it. Best chance is to find somebody parting out their car in the classifieds.

The door panel inserts screw in from the back. Seats are cake. Everything should be pretty easy, just give yourself all day. The only big challenge I can see is the carpet, because it's one piece and it wraps around the center console behind the radio, and also underneath the parking brake cables.

You've got all the info you need in the above posts, it's a pretty straightforward job. The seats are a piece of cake, as are the door panels (when you remove the original ones, it becomes obvious how to fit the new pieces). The only part that is time consuming is the carpet, but as the seats should be out of the car, it will be much easier to replace. As stated, it should take no more than a day to swap, even if you take a 3 hour lunch break!
pay for shipping, and a little on the side and you can have them...the front seats are ripped, the back seats are mint, and the carpet needs a deep clean......and driver side a pillar cover has a couple of holes that were there from the origional owner.

I concur with LudemanDan. Give yourself a full day
just to be safe i might do it over a weekend. just so it doesnt take up too much time. i could have some fun with the back and passenger seat out...going on a diet
Heh, if you need help with the interior swap give me a buzz... but I did the interior swap myself. Just make sure to pickup the black hood latch and the black gas/trunk latch/cover....

While you have it all apart, this is your chance to install some sound deadening material and/or sound blocking foam, if you so desire.
