any idea what my WHP is?

gonna get my prelude on a dyno this weekend, i have an apexi dunk exuast, test pipe, CAI + K&N filter, brady's free mods, semi-tuned feilds-SFC and removed PS and A/C systems.

any ideas? just curious what to expect, i'm thinking around the 205 mark, am i expecting too much? i don't wanna get surprised!

Yeah I don't think you will come anywhere near 205 whp. A h22 with bolt-ons is usally more in the 180-190 area.

Not likely... I know Brian (preludeV1) dynoed his USDM h22 at around 174.3 with i/h/e/pulleys/wires/plugs/ignition/clutch/flywheel and tuned camgears...

I think you will be in the mid-high 160's.

Yeah, what 4bidden said. Although, a test pipe does help more than you'd think. I don't know what the timing advancement does, but I wouldn't expect more than 185WHP.

I'm goin' with high 180s to low 190s. JDM H22s are far stronger than UDSMs.

anything is possible but i wouldnt say he could do any higher than 185. unless what he is calling a "mild p&p" is a really good one

190 sounds more my speed, my idea of 205 was more of my "hopeful" number, other than retarding the timing any other suggestions on pulling out a few more ponies? ice on teh intake manifold before the runs, octane booster?i apreciate the input guys, thanks

Is ure lude USDm or JDM?

A friend of mine had his done, JDM all standard and his came in at 185whp, he's had it chipped now (a new chip on the market in the UK, that he's testing for a company)

The guy who did it said his exhaust was blowing slightly as well!

Hmm, interesting. I guess I was right! hehe
Anway, what exactly does retarding and advancing you timing do to help your HP out? All I have in I/H/E (exhuast coming soon), would I want to retard or advance the timing any to squeeze out more horsepower?

So did I but maybe not because of how the car can control the timing some.

I was right about the hp guess I said between 180 and 190.
