let me start out by saying the questions here are really general as one ac system is another bla bla
furthermore its not on a prelude, and i apoligize
but the answers insight and skill ive seen come out of this forum is unreal.
so if this is unapropriate please remove it and i will gleefully take my lashings
thing is the thermomitor in my car said it was 118 at one point and im going TO DIE if i dont get the ac working being i drive around all day for my job
its a 92 acura integra b18b the car had the b18a and it blew so we put in a 1.8b and matching ecu
ok i just replaced the dryer and cleaned out the expansion valve, and took a compresor and blew through the system from several different points, does not APEAR to be clogged....anywhare
i put in "now for the third time, third evac trouble shoot and re-fill" 1 12oz can of r-12 "ya r-12 i have it pm me if interested"
and the pressure on the low side jumps to 60-80 instantly, i engage the compressor and the pressure drops to NO lower han 30-40 lbs lower if i rev the motor up but then climbs back up to 60-80 and 1 can is only 1/3 capaicity of this system......no cold air then i disengage the compressor and the presssure jumps, even higher in fact it got to 100lbs "low side" after the car sat for a few minuts i finnaly drained it back down to 30 lbs and thats how it sits right now to enshure there are no more leaks, it seems to hold a vac fine as well
constants are that low side pressure does drop when the compressor is engaged and the ac did work at some point before the motor swap guy said.
the system was zeroed out during the swap...
also all the steel lines on the high side around the drier are extremely warm like exhaust manafold warm.....
again i broke down the condensor "under dash" and expansion valve all clean and free of debris, and replaced the dryer, when i had the system apart like this i ran compressed air back and forth up and down each section it makes it through alright i would say
any ideas?
i know this is wrong here but im getting no help from an integra forum right now....

its so hot out here...........and i have to save money for the dyno tune
and i cant drive the prelude with a great ac kuz iwill kill it driving 200+ miles a day and my chick wont drive the integra, and if i made her the consequences would be worse than the heat
