My antenna last went down about a year ago, the motor still works, and i just baught a new antenna mast. I also baught a antanna switch from the junk yard from a 87 accord LX. I thought about wiring it up, to control the movements but after some research i found out that i need to cut the wires that control the movements of the antenna that are connected to a relay, and run some wires from the switch str8 to the motor, by disconnecting the wires that are connected to the relay of the motor.
The switch as 4 wires, 1 for power, 1 for ground, and 2 for power going up, and power going down. Now i just went down to the car and realized that i never connected the wire from my aftermarket radio (dark blue wire) that is supposed to connect to the antenna wire from stock harness.
This wire powers up the antenna when the radio is turned on, and powers it down when cd or aux are in play. If any of you guys know which wires from the stock harness i m supposed to connected my dark blue wire, than i wont need the antenna switch from the accord.
Thanks for the help.

ok do you have a aftermarket headunit? if not, then there is a hole in the stock unit, if you dont' well there should be a spot, as for which wire will tell the atennta to go up or down i have no clue, i got a new antenna mass, and my alpine headunit control it up or down depending if i am listening to the radio or not.

yea i got a panasonic ghost touch screen. Yea i got the hold in the back for the antenna, but thats not what i m asking. There is a wire that is part of the harness from your radio that connects to the stock wiring. its usually a dark blue wire coming out of your aftermarket harness, i need to know which wire its connected to. My radio has the same feature as yours, but i need to know which wire to connect to. If you have a manual of your radio, look at the wiring diagram there should be a wire that said motor antenna relay control lead. If you can find out which wire that lead is connected to, my problem will be solved.
thx

Yel/Wht wire in your harness controls your antenna up/down motion. BTW if you bypass the "relay" which actually is NOT a relay, its a limit switch, you antenna even though all the way up, will keep trying to go up and will eventually burn up the motor. unless you are going to wait untill its all the way up and then flip a switch off, your going to ruin your antenna.
i m not using the switch anymore. right now i m trying to figure out which lead i m suppose to connect the antanna control lead from my aftermarket radio harness to the stock wiring so it ll power up the antenna only when the am/fm is selected and power down then in any other mode.
