another radiator problem...

searched and noticed that alotta guys are having issues with leaky radiators...mine isnt leaking per se, but it has that green gunk/sticky stuff along the welds where the tanks meet the core...so im sure i need to get it changed out soon...

my question is, wut are my options wen it comes to OE radiators and how much should i expect to pay? I dont want/need anything "upgraded", just need something that fits...i was looking at koyo...any other ones i should consider??

wut about the hoses?? since im in there, i might as well change those out too....any feedback would be appreciated...

added: i have an SI, H23....

When mine went in the same way, with some leaking starting, I wanted an aftermarket radiator since I had done some mods and I also wanted some "room" for more upgrades without radiator failure. I got mine from C&R Racing in Indianapolis ( I can give you contact info if you want to- email me). My car is a 92 Si 2.3L and I wanted to make sure the new radiator would work well with the factory A/C, etc., which some don't- ask that when you shop around. Some aftermarket rads are meant to run primarily at high temps, like for racing duty, and don't work well in areas where the climate is cold and the car runs in cold temps- not meant for street-driven vehicles (I live in upstate NY). The C&R is good for cold as well as heavy duty use including racing or running options such as A/C.

I'm really glad I got the C&R since they have a great rep and their product was the definitely the best for the price and it appeared to be of a very high quality. I'd definitely recommend them highly to anyone, and when I ordred mine I spoke directly with one of the two owners and designers who had no problem answering all my questions and were great to deal with. Watch out for the deals that look TOO good on the low end...

I paid about $450 for mine, and swapped out both the upper and lower hoses. Let me know if you need info.

Aren't all the ones that are under $200 with plastic tanks?

I got mine from www.radiator.com
It came in two days, but initially they sent me the wrong one. Another additional day to exchange it.

For hoses, there was a recent thread in General Discussion about radiator hose kits.

Yeah, go through www.Radiators.com

I got mine from there as well, a nice all-metal replacement.
