Another JDM Climate Control, another happy Luder

Just finished my JDM Climate Control conversion I started yesterday. Scalifludesi came over and helped me out, we got her in and working in no time!

Big thanks to him

Here are some really blurry pics cause I guess I just suck at taking pics or something...

Everything is converted to blue, and I have it so the climate control buttons don't light up.. I like it this way, the only lights coming from the interor are now the blue from my gauges and climate control and the red needles Looks very nice in person.

In closing, I'm very happy with the install. Cost me $250 shipped for every part.

WELP... apparently there's a flaw in the write up/wiring diagram/my wiring somewhere or something... cause after I got on the fwy, my Power Transistor blew! Just like Scalifludesi's did. And I had the VSS hooked up. ??!??!

I just bought another one, but I don't wanna put it on till I know what the problem is.

Does anyone have a fully functional JDMCC who's Power Transistor doesn't blow when on the fwy?

Here are some day pics for the hell of it, you can see the blue better, but it's still blue'er in person.

Whoa! Now that makes 2 of us. I'm as well. We followed everything as it says on the wiring diagram. Maybe the resistor is meant to be installed inside the blower? I'll look more into this now that I know that it blew up even with the VSS hooked up.

what function does the jdm climate control have that would require it to be hooked up to the VSS?

How did you guys blew up the power transistor? I've had mine in the car for months and no problems with that... and I just got back from Montreal (10hrs away) around 130-150km/h most of the way and I'm not stopping often. We blew a tire but that's another story... I'm gonna check my emails if I can find the guy I bought a few thing from and check if he can get me a JDM air mix motor and finish up my swap, I really need to finish this this summer cause I need A/C asap.

Scaliflude: you didn't put the power transistor in the blower unit where the resistor was? That might be your problem then, mine has been in there since day 1... it might have overheated and blew up...

Forbidden, even if it's not installed in the blower, if while at a stand still it doesn't overheat, why would it do so on the fwy? The speed of the vehicle doesn't effect how much air the CC has to blow.... that's what's really 'erking me.

I don't get what the VSS has anything to do with the CC, but it's there for a reason I guess.

Also, Forbidden, you have used your CC on the fwy right? And, you said something about needing another part... is yours not fully functional yet?
