Another clutch ? - Honda Prelude Forum

I just received my car back today. I got a ACT clutch installed, well the car went back to the shop twice beacause of a problem I noticed. When I get on the gas allitle bit, the car hesitsates before I get the power to going, almost like the feeling when you floor a automatic. Im just tired of going back and forth to the shop.Anybody with clutch experience have any ideas to what may be going on? Bad clutch, flywheel, anything that has to do with the clutch system? Everything was new. Please help if possible. thanks

do the rpms jump up, then fall back down when the car starts going?

What you are describing sounds like the clutch disc might be slipping...

All my act clutches grabbed just fine after an install... not quite sure what is happning w/ your unless they didn't torque down the pressure plate bolts hard enough...
