alternator problem !!!!

i opened a pipe on top of the alternator on my 4th gen prelude, some of the liquid dripped down and may have got into my alternator, now theres no lights or any power besides the hazard light? what is happening

take a hairdryer and go to work. Dry it all out, even if it takes an hour. If it doesnt work you need a new alternator.

btw, why did you open the line?

oh alright ill give it a shot, oh i was painting my cover and the line was in the way i put it all back now i get no power none of my dashboard lights turn on, only power i get is hazard lights

sounds like a grounding issue to me ckeck all your ground wires on everthing.hope this helps

i have everything is back in place and still no power besides hazards :S , i dont wanna sell the car its a jdm prelude h22a, i love it, thanks for the help buddy, hopefully i can fix it up

just so you know in the future, remove your valve cover when you wanna paint it
