Alright so here's the issue
i threw the alternator belt on my h22 and i thought it would be no big deal go to the autoparts store and pick up a replacement. well i did that but the belt 3 different stores gave me didnt fit. where do i go from here?

Honda dealership would have the right belt. Wouldn't be cheap, but it would fit.

Stupid question, but did you loosen the alternator bolts and move the alternator down instead of just trying to shove the belt on there?

If all else fails, set the alternator to a bit less than the middle of the adjustment range, grab a piece of string and thread it around the same path the belt takes. Tie it off and take it to the autoparts store. Tell them to find you a belt that is the same size as the string
