Alternator? Battery? Hmm....

So i bought a new battery about 2 months ago... and I hardly drive my car because I live about 300 yards from my job. I took a short trip to pick up some Carside 2go at applebees and I noticed my headlights were real dim.. I also noticed and I put my windows back up that they closed reeeaaal slow... Then of course my radio turned off and my battery light came on... As I backed into my drive way, it died and wouldn't turn back on.

My assumption is, alternator... since the battery is brand new... But how do i test this if I can't get the car to a place to have it tested?

I gave always started the car and let it run for a min or 2 then pull the NEG cable to prevent any damages and see if it stays running. If it dosent then pull it and have it checked
