alternator

my alternator is shot.. does the H22A have a special alternator or will an H23A1 alt. work?

i thought the pulleys had different number of ribs?

if there is a difference, all you have to do is switch the pulleys...not too difficult of a job.

crap, my bad. other than the pulley's, you should be good to go. the wiring is only different is you're swapping from an f22 to an h22/3

so I changed my alternator, I got a rebuilt one with a lifetime warranty and a brand new battery. my car still is not holding a charge. stereo cuts out, windows are slow, tach and sped cut out randomly... Any suggestions?

Check the ground cable coming from the battery....had a similar problem before and was fixed by changing the ground wire. In the process of testing my alternator now cuz (I think) it's the alternator making a whining sound.....hope it is cuz it would solve alot.

Make sure you reconnected the ground wire on the alternator. My brother forgot to do that and went through 3 alternators and 2 batteries before he figured out what the deal was.
