Alright! OEM CD Changer Control

Just won a nice auction on eBay. Original optional 4th Gen CD Changer Controller. Haven't seen one of these in a long time. Plus, its only costing me $15.

Now I just need to buy a 6-disc changer.

I've never seen one of these before. Does anyone know how to adapt Honda In-Dash CD changers (with the square plug) to 4Gen Round plug radios that were intended to operate a trunk CD changer? The square plug has a lot more conductors, I don't know if they are all needed?

alpine > 10pin din or something like that... that's 1/2 pulled out of my ass, but i'm pretty sure it's along those lines.

Received the stereo and cd changer controller unit in the mail today. I'm pretty jazzed. Also ordered a NIB OEM Changer kit for the '92 center console with the console insert and all the hardware.

Now I just need to get a changer.

I wonder how many 1992 Prelude buyers opted for the 6-disc changer... must've been expensive.

Yeah, I think any Honda 6-disc changer will work, and I'm almost certain that any Alpine changer with an Mbus connector will work. With the Alpine though, you need to buy an Mbus adapter because Honda switched two of the connections in their Mbus to discourage aftermarket changer use. You can still use them w/out the adapter, but the audio quality is diminished. I think they are less than $15, so no big deal.
