Alignment Woes...

What's up, y'all??? Question: I've had alignment problems forever and a day. Part of them resulted from when my car was slammed (bottom perch on Koni Yellows w/ Neuspeed Sport springs). I bent my left upper control arm, and replaced it immediately. The car pulled to the left before and after this, even after alignment. To this day, it still pulls left, so I have to hold the steering wheel to the right a bit wherever I drive ... not a big worry. BUT, what could still be making the car pull to the left, after replacing the upper control arms (yes, both of them--bent the right in a bad construction zone, a few months ago, replaced a month later), and getting a few alignments done???

I recently switched to newer, bigger rotors (VTEC Powerslot rotors w/ VTEC calipers), b/c my old front rotors were warped, badly. I broke my new brakes in as suggested, and everything was smooth. Recently, I had a noticeable speed wobble develop at freeway speeds (40-80 mph) ... it shook the wheel pretty badly. I put my 17's w/ NEW tires back on the car, and had an alignment done, all around. Some of the left pull was eliminated, but the wobble is still there. What could be going on? I want to rid of the speed wobble and the left pull ... help me experts!!!

I have the same two problems as you...I just switched to a new suspension and I wont have it aligned until I get my stupid camber/caster kit for the front. Ill let you know if that helps fix it.

As for the brakes...I have the EXACT setup you have and I have had my brakes on for about 5 months now. During hard braking the car does shake but it only started about 2 months ago. I am going to take my car in to have the rotors turned on the car and I am going to switch to a EBC Greenstuff pad as opposed to the Axxis pads. Hopefully that will fix it (if not Im going to yell at Powerslot ).

Are you sure nothing else is bent? Such as your lower control arm(s)? Also, measure your caster. Take a measuring tape, put it in the middle of your wheel and measure it to the mud flap and the front bumper. See if they're the same on both side of the car. If not, your radius rod might be bent or the washers on them might be crushed, causing you to pull slightly, especially at higher speeds. Does your wheel LOOK weird, like there's still something bent?

I'll check on the camber idea. I only had the upper control arms replaced b/c of the fact that they were bent, and the bearings were literally destroyed, from taking really bad hits on freeways, and one in a construction zone that wasn't marked very well at all. I"m going for my 90k service soon, so I'll have the techs check the rest of the arms. I just want a smooth ride again, w/o having to fight my steering wheel. Goddamned Hondas...
