alignment question

Here is an alignment question:
I want to get my car aligned since I have new wheels and I had recently removed my struts. Should I put the new wheels on and align it or can I leave my stocks on, get it aligned and then put the new wheels on? Or does the car have to have the new wheels on in order to do it properly? I just thought I would have it aligned with the old stock wheels on in case there was a chance of damaging the new wheels. I hope this makes sense, what do you guys think?

it shouldn't make a difference, but if its a decent shop they won't align it if they think their equipment will scratch your wheels. Just ask them if they will or not they should know.

just worried I guess, if it doesnt make a diff then I will do it with the stocks on, you know how shops are, not like they are gona say "yeah sometime they do get scratched". And if they do scratc it, im sure they wont admit it!

I know the owner of the shop I took mine too pretty well, and he knew I had new wheels for it that aren't on yet and I just asked and he said just leave your old one's on, and it wouln't make a difference. I might make a difference if the outside diameter is different between your wheels, but it would still only be a little off.
