alarm silent mode

Ok, I bought my 94 SI about 2 months ago and it came with a Viper alarm already installed. I'm not sure exactly of the model of the alarm but for some reason its in silent mode now and will not beep when I arm the car. I know there is a little switch below the drivers side dash next to the hood release... It's a small little button that is supposed to change the modes( maybe my foot hit it on accident)... My QUESTION is.... is there a certain way I'm supposed to push the button and then start the car or whatever to get it out of silent mode??!?!? Pls help thanks!

When you arm the car and if you look at the alarm LED does it stay on instead of blink? If it does your alram is in valet mode. To get out open a door press button 1, then button 2, then button 1 on the remote. You should be out of valet mode.

Or they've turned the confirmation chirps off, go to directed.com to read the install manual. You can turn them back on using that valet switch you described.
