Alarm Help (long, alot of stupid qustions)

im putting in a 2 way paging alarm, and i cant seen to get it working properly. Im not tsure the name or model of the Alarm, it doesnt say anywhere on it, but on the remote it says "FM two way" on it. This is my first alarm install, the remote door lock/unlock work, and the mercury switch hood pin and the siren works, and the door trigger works fine.
1. For one the shock sensor wont work, however when it was installed in my friends car it worked perfectly, it wasnt dropped or anything.Coud everything else have to be working in order for this to work.
2.Next, the alarm wont work sumtimes, it will just be shut off, for the power wire i tapped into the wire for the battery in the steering column, the alarm seems to be touch sensiteive to power, like if i move it around it wil gain or lose power. I will hook a test light up to the input of the alarm for power and i get nothing.
3. I cant seem to find the wire for the parking lights and the one for the dome light. A local shop techincian
told me that there is a plug in the fuse box in the drivers side kick panel that when the parking lights are on power goes though it. I used a test light and found which terminal it is, but the more i think about it the more i think he is wrong about plugging the parking light wire into it, because both wires are outputs. I have no idea where the dome light wire is.
4. For the remote start, I cant find ingnition 2, if there is one. I hooked the remote start up using only one igition and it wouldnt stay started. It would start and then shut off, which leads me to belive there is an ignition 2.

Thankx for anyones help.

1) Are you sure you're testing it right? Kick the tire, a shock sensor detects blunt shocks, if you rock the car it won't go off. The best place to mount it is wire tied around a wire bundle in the steering column area.

2) You hooked it up to the thick white wire coming from the steering column? If so good, that's a good place to get power. If there's a fuse on the power wire input than that could be causing the problem. It's either three things 1) wrong power source 2) faulty connection 3) bad fuse connection.

3) It's the red/black wire leading into the fuse box on the driver's side kick area. It's a positive trigger, low current load, very hard to miss that wire. If you want to have domelight supervision you just connect a ground to the door trigger wire. This "tricks" the car into thinking the door is open by mimicking the electrical signal. You probably have to wire a relay to do this, most alarms cannot directly drive the domelight (you'll fry it.)

4) There's only one ignition - a thick black wire with a yellow stripe. You can try energizing the accessory wire - a thick yellow wire. You can catch the accessory wire at the driver's side fuse box easily.
