I am going to put air cylinders on my 94 lude. I am wondering what size wheels I should get. I am leaning toward either 17" or 18" both will be wrapped in 40 profile tires. My question is that if anybody has any experience with putting air cylinders on a 4th gen. lude, what size would be the best for lowering the most and not have wheel rub. I know that my wheels will be touching the wheel well when I have it sitting for show or just parked, because then I am going to to slam that thing down to the ground. I want to know what size wheels I should get in order to have the best looking wheel tuck when driving. I am going to lower the car as much as possible when driving without rubbing the tires. If anybody can help, please do. I appreciate the time and thanks alot.
I hate to say this, but I don't think you'll find ANYBODY on this board who bagged their Lude. Nobody here (or very, VERY few people on PO) would want to give up the handling characteristics, which is what you'll give up by bagging your Lude, of a Prelude. It's totally your call, and I don't want to interfere w/ your dreams & goals...just giving you a heads up if you don't know.

Anybody want to buy my Lude? (Will sell in either stock or fairly modded trim).
I would go with 35 series tires on the 18's. Wheel size does not determine the amount of wheel tuck the width and the offset do. I would try to get rims with a high off set like 45 or higher.
MAN!!!!!!!!!!!! Props for how his ride looks on bags....but I'd hate to be him on a canyon run...

Have you guys ever heard of Canover??? The make 'Bags'.. There actually air cylinders made just like gas shocks that have one chamber for ride height below and a upper chamber for ride stiffness... I know one guy who has them... I would too if I was going to spend over 3k on my suspension... They are the coolest thing and they handle like a dream... The ride, oh my... Only ridden in 2 cars that compare to it, and they were cadillacs.... You have settings like your adjustable gas shocks, except instead of 4 setting you have like 12!.... I guess you need to look into the air ride idea before you go about it.... I would advise canover if you wnat to do this... Its clean, its cool, and it adjustable in stiffness which only one other brand of air cylinders can claim too... By far the most superior suspension on the market... If its a show car and you got the money.. Put it in that....
CLIFF NOTES: Theres always more than meets the eye and there are bags out there that will outperform your tein SS... You have ot know what too look for, and how much you cna spend...
what size wheels are those on that yellow lude. I thought the bigger the offset, the farther the wheel would stick out. And i dont want it so that when i lower the car, the wheel smashes into the fender and not be able to get any wheel tuck. The only reason i am leary about 35 profile tires is that the tire tread wears easier. Please correct me if i am wrong on this though. probably just depends on what kind of tire it is. When a lude is bagged or cylindered for that matter, is the stiffness still there or is it pretty bouncy? I would like to just be able to remove just the cylinders when it come time to go the the flat track and put in a set of full racing coilovers. i know that is harder than it sounds, but it can be done. thanks
