I decided to go all black under the hood. I wanted to know if I had the chrome intake sprayed black by a body shop, would it hold up under the heat?
It's the same paint as the hood? I know it's closer to the engine, but do you think it would work?

it should work just fine. besides the worst thing that could happen would be the paint coming off. if you want it to stay. go to the parts store and get engine enamel. its good up to 500 deg.
