air cylinder suspension

the 5th gen forums people werent too helpful but since ive seen a couple 4gens with air cylinder setups i thought this would be a better forum to get info
i know how bad air bags can be but i was wondering what the consequences and or perks to having air cylinders for suspension would be. considering how im not a hardcore racer or ne thin (i just want badass car) im not too concerned about speed. i hear leaving the cylinders drained for too long may mess up ur axle but does ne one know more about them? i havent seen any 5th gens with air cylinders and i was considering getting some. Any pitfalls im unaware of? price range? im thinking less than 2 grand,
help me out here guys
thanks
