Air Control Valve???

So my lude came with this short ram intake...i finally had a chance to clean up the engine bay a bit and found this diaphragm type thing attached to this really loong vacuum hose...i found this pic...

its #16 collectively and i believe it sits inside the fender well...my question is, wut does this thing do?? according to honda automotive parts, its called an air control valve...i found mine just sitting there, inside my engine bay...TIA

It bypasses the baffeling to increase air flow into the engine instead of damping the intake sound.

Well, since you aren't using the stock intake it's not doing anything. Regardless of whether it's hooked up or not. Just remove the entire resonator and plug any vacuum lines @ the manifold, that's the way to go.
