after strut bars....sway bars and tie bars?

are sway bars and tie bars really worth it? i saw the earlire post about the sway bar thickness, so i assuming they help, but what about tie bars? Also, are these something that could be installed personally, or would your car need to be taken to a shop?

sway bars will make a decent difference. Particularly if you put on a rear bar, it will reduce understeer. I don't think tie bars make a huge difference - they do reduce flex in the car and make it feel a little more solid.

just remember... thickness does not equal stiffness...

sway bars are very worth it (depending on the application you're using your car for), but tie bars don't do very much (if anything) at all.

Unless you have a "subframe destroying" 29mm Neuspeed Swaybar.

LOL - you can reduce the risk (not remove the risk, reduce!) with a good rear strut bar... me and my friend had identical rear sways put on, him without and myself with a strut bar - subframe tear galore.
