ok seems like everyone who has a jdm swap has a problem with overheating and such with the standard h23 radiator. i don't seem to be overheating but my car's fans are turning on after the car is turned off, i faintly remember someone asking if this was ok and most ppl said it was normal
well its turning on my fans so much that its draining my battery and the car barely starts
should i get a new radiator asap?

i swapped from a single cam and i have no problem with mine over heating or running the radiator to long. in fact it runs cooler now.. and the only thing i did was use water wetter in the stock system
i'm not having any problems with my swap... my fans work perfectly (they turn off when the car turns off), and no problems overheating unless i'm really low on coolant.
might want to check your wiring before anything else.

So it could be the radiator that causes the fan to go off? I guess I should check my coolant level again.
What do you mean by using "water wetter in stock system?"
water wetter is an additive that comes from redline products
yeah i used it before i did the swap.......honestly since the dang 4th gen coolant gauge has only 4 positions, it didn't show a difference
and the stuff AT BEST decreases the temp. by 10 degrees fairenheit (and that is running 100% distilled water + water wetter for race engines or temporary)
as for using in regular times.......they showed it helped ~5 degrees, i might use it again but as for right now i think its not worth the price
as far as the fans staying on, it hasn't done it ever since i changed o2 sensors, new battery, and the weather just got alot cooler
so after xmas i will buy a better radiator
