after change of knock sensor... pulsing idle... related or just coincidence?

Hey guys. I've been reading much info on the dreaded "bouncing" or "pulsing" idle. To save a bit of time and effort for myself, hehe, i was hoping there was a possible connection to my situation:

I recently changed out my knock sensor, which, i am gladly to say, has rid of my hesitation/bogging problem. However, in the process of the knock sensor replacement, i accidentally bumped what i think was the power steering switch, which in turn led to ps fluid leaking out. Turns out, the bolt on it was loose so i just tightened it back up and filled my ps fluid reserviour back to normal.

anyhow, after getting the ks and ps situations all taken care of, i go to reset the ecu and was extremeley happy with the hesitation/bogging fix. I am not sure if there could be any correlation with the ps switch leaking, but it was after these situations that i had these annoying idle fluxuations.

Is there any way this could have caused possible air bubbles in my coolant system? or is it just simply a coincidence and that my fitv has gone dirty/loose?

thanks guys
