aem intake

Ok.. so i have a '92 Prelude S ... F22

picked up a aem intake from tirerack.

looks almost like this below...

but my current one looks like this.. *yeah i know it looks like total ass*

there is an extra small tube going to the top of the intake... what's it for? and not sure why it isn't on the aem intake when it was picked for my model and year.

On your current intake, someone installed a custom vacuum tube. So no other intake will have that.

Holy crap

Not sure why your new AEM doesn't have that, but I've got a cheapo OBX on my prelude and it also has that nipple, so no, its not a custom vacuum tube. From pictures that I have and from memory, I *think* that vacuum hose goes to the IAB control valve. I'd check but I don't know where my Helms is

EDIT: I see you have an F22. I have no idea where it is connecting to on the IM

wow, you really need to change the rubber connecter that hooks your intake to your throttle body! you don't even need an intake filter anymore! And you're probably losing power...

My intake doesn't have the nipple for that hose, I just have the hose wrapped around and hangin' out in my engine bay lol. I've got it tucked away, but I don't have it attatched and it's worked just fine, until something randomly gets sucked into it one day >.<
