Ok, i just got my AEM cai 2day, taken all the stock intake out, and now i find out the pipe is too big to fit into the whole near the battery, and the pipe is too big for the intake manifold. Did i get the wrong intake, or do i need to cut the whole a lil bigger, and if i do that, how do i get it to fit snug on the intake manifold.
Yeah, the hole needs to be enlarged, so that solves that problem, but as for it being too large for the throttle body, it shouldn't be. How much larger is it? Maybe you got the 5th gen intake which is 3" in diameter, ours is 2.5"

^ It should, you might need to get one of those rubber coupling things that reduce from 3" to 2.5ish. I'm sure others have the 5th gen intake on their 4th gen, not sure how they'd done it. Might want to try searching.

i've done all the searching in the world lol, I remember seeing sumthin about cutting the hole near the battery, and what they used, but i dont remember WHAT it was they used. I don't recall seeing anything about the intake manifold
I would say return it and get the one made for your car, makes the most sense to me. As for the hole by the battery, I got mine in, but i had to play with it for a bit, at an angle, before I could slide it through. Instead of doing that, cantdrive is right, because even if you can get it in, you'll want to widen that hole just a bit so it doesn't rub against the pipe like mine does. Oh, one more then, after you sand off the sides, either spray rustproof on it or clean it off and touch up the edges so they don't rust in the future. Good luck, let us know what you end up doing.
