Actual engine????

Is there a way to tell if the motor you have in your car is the one that came in it originaly. I know the H22a1 came in it, and there is an H22a1 in it now. So how can I verify that it is or is not the original motor for this car?

I did, now I know the motor could not be out of a 99. Now i am trying to find out if that is the motor that was put in the car in the factory, or has it been replaced with a new one.

Drive to California and race somebody. If the cops take your car and crush it, it is not the original motor. If you leave with only a ticket it is the original motor.

you can search and find out an easy way to be 95% sure whether or not you have your original motor. I'll just say this: your block was 'clocked' at the factory; it was stamped with the date on which it was manufactured.
