Accord Rear trim Project

Heres some pics of my rear accord trim project:

The side peices were too long, So i cut them and then reattached the end peices, looks alot better IMO

I used a epoxy glue called " pc 11" that stuff is very strong and held the peices together very well.

here it is painted

Yeah It's photoshopped all the way, I'm just dreaming, maybe one day it'll look like that. I just ordered some coilovers and working on a deal for JDM headlight, so I'm on my way . But I really do love that rear, I might just try that myself, looks really good with the stock side skirts.
BTW: one of your pics has your plate number. Just wanted to let you know since you blurred them out on all the other pics...ya missed one.

That looks like it was meant for our cars, I'm impressed! I'll put that on my 'to do' list

I would expect so, but you could just use a satin black instead of the body colour to hide any blemishes

leaving it black looks good too, i had it black for about a month before i painted it. Reconnecting the peices is pretty hard, if you were to use a black glue it could work but it would be really hard.

what i did was add extra glue to the outside and then sanded it down so that it look flush....... The other problem is that the end peices won't match up excatally so you're pretty much left with having to put the extra glue/filler on.....and if you do sand the black plastic, it will turn greyish.....

How do you did you exactly paint it? Can you tell the difference from the rest of the cars paint?

I got the spray paint form a shop in Floridia, It cost 16 dollars + 4 for shipping....

I have misplaced the number, I should be able to find it..

I painted it by sanding, wet sanding, primer, paint and then clear coat, and you can tell there is a difference between the trim and the rest of the paint.... I talked to a body shop owner the other day, i asked him how to they get that glossy look, he told me it was layer and layers of Qualilty Clear Coat.....

Also you need a spray gun too, a can just doesn't cut it....
