ABS Pump Question

I have just replaced the ABS pump and accumalator assembly on my prelude. I have tried to bleed the ABS accumalator by opening the bleed nipple on it. I have then jumped the two terminals to make the pump run but even thou the pump runs no fluid comes out the nipple!

I am right in thinking that the pump is knackered ( It was from scrapyard) and needs a new one?

Or is there a secret technique to bleeding the accumalator

All suggesttions welcome

did you pump the brake pedal while the pump was running?

my helm's says to use an ALB checker when bleeding it... but if the pump runs through your method, its ok i guess

Tried pumping pedal at same time but no joy. I found some info that says it should be as easy as bridging the connection to get pump running and fluid should flow!

Got another pump now just in case first one was shot!

Keep you updated

I'm selling my friend's ABS pump, modulator, and computer. I removed it from his rear ended Lude w/ 98k

Try this out

turn on the car when bleeding the abs accumulator you slowly open the bleeder to make things easier use a vac pump and bleed it with that make sure you have the catch can on the pump and have enough brake fluid in the catch can should work from there sometimes it takes a while to bleed if you have any ?s throw me a pm or email me

Well things get stranger. I have replaced the pump, motor, etc just in case the old ones were defective but I still have the same problem!
I guess it's must be operator error!

Can someone post a copy of Helms manual re bleeding?
