ABS light wont go off

my ABS light has been on since ive owned the car and the first time i got it inspected i guess they just let it slide but this time they wont pass the car because of this stupid light. Any suggestions on what it could be that i could get it to go off or fix it?

Mine needed new rear wheel sensors at over $100 each locally. So I unpluged the ABS control unit instead, which disables it and makes the light go out. The ABS control unit is beside the rear passenger side seat under the trim panel. You can read the ABS trouble codes by jumping the connector and reading the flashes. I could dig out the procedure if you like. There is a full blown 4th gen Prelude service man from Honda free in another online forum if you hunt for it with google.

yea i just remembered that last time i took it to a garage to get it inspected im pretty sure they already unplugged it. Whether it was for that reason or not i do not know. I'd have to check myself but im pretty sure it is already unplugged n the light is still on. Ill have to double check though. But yea if you could just link me the website and id be grateful. Thanks for ur help

Prelude Service Manual Online - Honda Forum : Honda and Acura Car Forums

Unplugging both connectors to the ABS unit should make the light go out. However the codes are in the service manual, the connector to jump is a two terminal plastic plug hanging behind the console by the accelerator pedal. If you jump the connector and turn the key on the ABS light will flash the trouble codes as I recall (it's all in the manual).
