the abs light comes on...

I don't know why the ABS light on the dashboard comes on when I try to accelerate fast. What can be causing it?

Also, my brakes don't seem to be working as well as they used to. I checked my brake pads and it's still like new. I don't know, I have to push on the brakes pretty far down before I can stop the car. This problem happened before the ABS lights comes on so I don't think the problem is linked.

ABS can be almost anything, i thought i would never say this but do a search on it. First run a diag on it, look up the code, and then go from there. I think people have even posted the code errors. I was having a problem with my ABS and there is PLENTY of info on here. good luck

I have had my ABS light come on once when I started my car and I accelerated real fast without letting everything in the car go through the "testing phase" at startup. Then, all I did was turn off the engine and started it back up and the light went out.
