Because something is wrong somewhere in the ABS system? Maybe a wheel sensor, the pump, maybe the alternator has a problem (either the rectifier or regulator, forgot which can cause this), et.c

Pull the code and get back to us

my owners manual says that it means that there is something wrong with the anti-lock brake system but it doesn't have specifics, mine is stuck on too.

Everyone who has problems should probably search how to pull ABS codes.

I have yet to see a Prelude with NO ABS light on...

Mine went on, I change the RR wheel sensor and it went off for about a week, then came back, and it was then the LR, so I said f**k it, I can live without ABS, seeing the wheel sensors arn't that cheap.

Yeah I'm doin fine too, either the light is just on for no reason, or I don't ever lock up the brakes, because I have never locked up my brakes since the lights been on, and my pads are fine, so I'm cool with it.
