About to go on trip.....no Cruise control after swap :(
HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP
PLEASE.
ok, story goes like this:
last year did JDM h22a swap. I have a 1993 Prelude Si, that used to be an automatic, but when i did the swap i also swapped over to manual as well, well since then the cruise control isn't working. Everythings "seems" to be plugged in correctly. I cant get the light on the cruise control button to come on in the car. I'm wondering whats up, i'm hearded on a 800 mile drove monday and cruise control would be a life saver. Could it have something to do with the fact my ABS light is on because i'm using JDM axles?????? also is tehre something else under the dash i have to plug in, like to the clutch petal? i looked and there isn't anything to plug anything into. Any info would be greatly appreciated to help me solve this mystery

ok, i just compared underdashes with my friends GSR, seems he has an electrical hook up to his clutch assembly. I'm using the petals out of the jdm front clip i had sent over. So i'm gonna go looking for a usdm switch to attach to the clutch tomorrow, but i doubt i'll find one. Anyways, could this be the problem? is this what could make the light on the button not illuminate? Will i even have something to plug it into even if i get the USDM clutch switch? I'm thinking yes, i have a loose connection that looks exactly the ssame as the plug on the break petal... can someone confirm this?

There should be at least one switch on the clutch pedal, since the car won't start unless the pedal is depressed and the cruise control will shut off if you press in the clutch pedal.
nope there isn't a switch of any sorts on my clutch, i can start my car with out putting my foot on the break or the clutch.

Yeah, that sounds scary. The switch prevents you from starting the car in gear and leaping the car across the parking lot and through a storefront.
haha yeah cant say i've done that but i've jumped the curve one and took off my front bumper....but anywayes do you think thats why my CC wont work?

nope thanks though, that babys plugged in and the VAC line is hooked up to the IM side....i'm kinda hoping its the switch i speak of.....i should be able to get one of those pretty easily. especially with all the parted out cars in the classified section these days.

yeah, my old integra was like that. its nice to have sometimes cuz when your working on your car, and wanna start it up, all you have to do is reach in through the window and turn the key instead of having to get in.

The first switch wont let you start the car unless the clutch pedal is fully depressed.
The other switch is triggered as soon as you move the pedal about 1/4" This switch turns off the cruise control.
You need the second switch for the system to work right...
Or...
You could just short the wires togeather permenatly. That way your cruise would work, at least until you touched the brake pedal.
absolut, i'm intrested in that second option except.
on my clutch petal, i dont have ANY switches or electrical hookups, its a JDM petal assembly so i'm thinking the clip i had sent over for the conversion didn't have CC. Also i have a few pics i'd like to post up here if someone can host them just to show you wahat the under side of the dash looks like.
but also too should the green light on the switch at least come on when the button is turned on.
what color are the wires to be shorted? i'll see of those are the colors of the wires on the "extra" harness ih ave under the dash
i know its hard to explain but with the pics it will make perfect sence.

Check your Helms manual for the schematic of the CC and just jump the pins at wherever the connector is.
yeah i think its about time to invest in one of these suckers.
Ellie whatcha doin in the 4th gen forum Yeah so what are you getting at? its 800 miles to VATech from here , same 800 to NoVA. sorry i've had this planned out for a little while, i'll see ya when you come down
i still wanna post some pics of under the dash just to show everyone i'm not crazy, i guess jdm ludes all didn't have cruise control
anyone with a helms know what wire i'm looking to short? even though i dont have the switch on the clutch, shouldn't the light on the switch on the dash come on? it doesn't as of now
