about cam gears

I was curious about cam gears, I heard from my friend that cam gears could make a real difference in horsepower output, so i was wondering if that is really true and how much are good cam gears gonna cost?

I think you should expect to pay about 80-100 bucks a piece for some good ones. I would not even mess with the cam gears untill you get a i/h/e. From what I here, adjusting your timeing can yeild small gains. You have to remember that when you adjust your timeing you can get a little more top end but you lose a little bottem end and vice versa. Thats just my two cents though.

No. They will perform just like stock. I don't think weight is a big factor in this.

Cam gears could make a nice gain if tuned properly, if not, you'll only be losing power. You should at least do i/h/e before the cams.

i've got camgears that i havent tuned yet since i'm waiting to get the vafc installed and tune everything all at once. get em, their cheap... have them installed when you do your timing belt replacement, just like me... you can actually do alot of engine component replacement while this is in process... save you some money too.
