95 Prelude Electrical Problem

Alright, it's been a while since I've been on the PO forums. I have an issue concerning the door locks. I could figure it out by myself, but I'd like some suggestions from my fellow prelude owners. I have a 95 Lude VTEC and for about a month now I've been experience some **** with my door locks - they dont automatically lock when I turn on the car and they don't unlock automatically when I turn the car off. Then sometimes out of nowhere (when the car is off) the locks will lock and unlock by itself multiple times. Any hints on what it might be? A ghost? Power Lock module? Thanks much for any tips.

Had the same issue once... It was the power door lock module in the driver's side door

Do you have a car alarm?

LoL as a matter of fact I do. Ever since thats been happening the car alarm hasn't been working right. From time to time it'll start working right just out of nowhere then go back to being stupid. Where exactly is that power lock module?

You gotta pull the interior door panel off and its there mounted to the door. Its a small red box. I don't remember its exact location. Looks something like this: Door Lock Control INTEGRA 1994 to 2000 RK-0278 2 Door

I'm not too keen on alarm wiring, but have you tried pulling the main fuse for your alarm to take it out of the loop and making sure it isn't causing the problem?

Hmm, I haven't gotten around to working on the car yet but I should be able to hit it tomorrow afternoon. I'll check out the module and pull the fuse and see what it does. It's funny because when I disconnect the battery and reconnect after a few minutes the problem goes away for only a few minutes. Thanks man, I'll let you know what I figure out.
