It's a sub woofer.

In USA it came in vtec models.

There are black, blue and tan variations of the cover with mesh.

Japan also had this in vtec models and possibly some Si models.

Europe and Australia had this also.

The USDM S models are not pre-wired for the sub, but some Si models are.

Thanks for answering. So is there a amp for it under the seat? I have a 95 v-tec 2.2L. It's not hooked up but would be nice to put something like a single 10" type x alpine there and get the big box 2 12" old mtx I got In there out! More trunk space would be nice. Anyone else think this is a good idea would it work? Let me know what you think. Thanks!

The amp is mounted directly beneath the sub.

i wish i could tell you. ive been searhing for the same thing. i have a bunch of crap running through mine. the people before me hooked up a ghetto ass 10" in a ginormous box. they somehow hooked up the aftermarket amp into the factory amp. lots of wires. i just want a sub in that spot so i can use my trunk and the trunk doesnt look so ghetto

dude, it's vtec. It says so on your valve cover and on many pages of your owners manual if you have one.

you won't be able to take your box out if you really want bass still. the factory is a 6x9 2ohm woofer and the amp doesn't push that much (not sure what the gain really is?). the amp takes speaker level inputs from both of the rear speakers and outputs a "blend" of both sides.

its nice to have but it doesn't stand up to aftermarket setups

I just got the cover for my rear center sub in the mail today. When I bought my sub, amp, and bracket awhile back it didn't come with the cover. It's hard to get people to part out a set and sell the cover seperately, but got someone to do it.

Also sourced two brand new 6x9 2-ohm 30w subwoofers. They are on their way to me. Will post pics soon.

it's spelled VTEC, not v-tech like you love to spell it. Strike two!

That's all I was trying to say, I am correcting and preparing your stupid ass so you don't get embarrassed next time you are in a crowd of luders.

You should be on your knees thanking me right now.

Dude, are you dumb?

He's calling you out for calling your car a VTECH or V-TECH when on the blasted valve cover it clearly reads: V T E C

As well as all over your manual, and any other documentation for the car.

You do realize what a peeve it is when some kid can't even spend the time to learn the proper acronym that constitutes the model of their car, right?

But honestly, I'm laughing my ass off at how dense you are.

(Hah, I started writing this, made breakfast, and now someone posted same correction 5 min before me... woops?)

Finally got mine installed and wired up. Man, this puts out some serious bass.

Very satisfied.

I replaced the worn OEM Alpine 6x9 2ohm Subwoofer with an Onkyo 6x9 2ohm subwoofer. I can feel my hair vibrate.
