95 H23A Cooling System Problem HELP!

Hello I made a terrible mistake and poured a can of StopLeak (or BarsLeak) can't remeber which) into my ailing Prelude about 3 years ago hoping it would stop a small radiator leak. Instead it started what has become a total nightmare for my car. I had to replace the radiator about 1 week later. But shortly after that it began blowing every coolant hose (some I never knew existed!) in a most violent way. I believe the Stop Leak compound has clogged the water passages in the block (or wherever they are). Does anyone here have any knowledge about how to go about flushing all water passages in this engine? Any help is so much appreciated!!! I really want to drive my Prelude again! It has been in my garage awaiting a miracle ever since... Sincerely, John.

This was 3 years ago? If I were you, I would almost buy another motor and put it in to save time. I don't know of any way to clear that after 3 years.

How have you been driving it?

Re:

Petern- Thanks for the advice. I have thought that is probably the best thing to do also. Can I ask you though, should I buy one of these JDM engines? Do you know of any expert Prelude mechanics to tow it too? I recently refied my house in order to get the money to restore this car. Thanks again for responding to my plea for help. -John.

Haha, you are DFW. That is mecca for Prelude owners. Go to ntpog.org, find Todd or Billy.

Ken- THANKS SO MUCH for that awesome link!!! Btw, I checked out your accident post and pics and am really glad you came out OK. I hope the idiot paid dearly for doing that to you. I had a similar crash years ago in another beloved vehicle by an idiot running from police. I spent a week and my girl spent 3 weeks in hospital (and many more months at home) recovering from it so I can TOTALLY relate to your plight. Best of luck to you and thanks again for the great information. - John.

Fyi I go to Rockwall all the time (Heath actually).

If I have any free time, I could possibly swing by. There is also a semi-local jdm engine warehouse (its in Richardson) where I picked up a jdm engine.

Billy / Todd are great, but they are pretty far from you, a close ex-president of NTPOG lives nearby (rowlette). His sn is Xander on here and the ntpog forums. He can fix lots of things for a good low rate as well.

Petern- Thanks for the information. I would love to talk with you further about how to reach Xander. Rowlette is good and close to me. I would be delighted if you wanted to swing by my house anytime you are in Rockwall. Heath is about 6 or 7 miles due south of my house. I live near 205 and 552 on the northern end of Rockwall. Thanks again for taking the time to respond. - John
