95 H22a Auto

My h23 auto about to break down. The auto trans still ok. 97-2001 only have H22a Vtec Auto. Can I use H22a Vtec with the new auto Vtec chip and still using my H23 auto trans? I know that the H23 manual with fit perfect in the H22a Vtec. Thanks.
