95 accord front lip installed

Some of you may have known i was on the project since last week. if not, here is the thread for my 94 Accord rear lip. Anyway, more on the install, i didnt have to do much mods on it to get it to fiit, its pretty flexible, so i kinda made it sit the way i wanted. I had to use about 12 short trim screws, cause i realized b4 drillin that the area where iw as gonna drill on the bottom of the bumper didnt have much clearance, so i had to use short screws. I use that many cause i wanted it to sit tight, and fit right along the lines of the bumper. It took a llittle bit of adjustments, but i got it to look nice. I only had to cut on piece of the lip, to get it to fit, the rest was just adjustin it right and puttin screws around. The way i did it was to screw both ends first, to make sure the edges were even. The lip is a bit bigger, but i got it to sit just bout 4 mm on each sides, bearly noticable to the eye. Then i just pushed it down as i went along and made sure i followed the lines. Thats about it, took a little while cause i wasnt sure what to do, but now that i know, i d say it can be done in about an hour once the bumper is off, since you have to take your time, and make sure your setting it right, and not drilling through the bumper and its best to have someone to help out, one person cant hold both sides of the lip as you measure and such. ok ok ok, on to some pics.

Lips next to and on top of each other to show the size diffence, pretty noticable to me.

Notice here the top front of the accord lip, that is the part i had to cut.

Here i removed the clips used to hold the stock front lip. Notice the area between the bottom of the clip and the top of the bumper, this is where u want to make that part of the accord lip fit through and screw into the bumper ( make sure to use short screws so that you dont over drill and the top of the screw sticks out.

Cutting of the accrod lip, just by lookin at it, you should be able to tell where to cut. use whatever tool u want that is not gonna damage the lip.

Here i marked with the line where to cut

here my friend is cutting it

After the cut

here is the area wher you want that top piece to fit

some what like this

hold it in place to somewhat get an idea of where you want your edges and lies to come to.

I quickly had to run to the part store and get these screws when i realized that i needed short screws. I didnt use the black ones, just the chrome ones. I used about 4 on the middle piece so that they wouldnt go throught the bumper. On the sides, any size is fine, since there its a clear area.

I added a few more asa i went along for a total of 12 i think.

finally someting to look at ...

the lip is kinda scratched cause i got it from the junk yard, and the car was slammed on it. lucky it not bent or broken, i will get it painted in a few days.

lookin pretty good, already i was gettin used to it hehe

finally back at the house...

And there you have it. I hope this was detailed enough. I m hopin to see more of you guys with it.

Now my only problem is, i m confused. I was goin to paint the accord front and rear lips white, and repaint my already painted side skirts white again, but then, i looked at it, and thought about it , and then started thinkin why not just paint all that stuff black. I dont plan on getting a carbon fiber hood, but i do like the thought of the all black lip kit, with the dark wheels and lights and such, but then again, the all white kit looks also good. So ig u have comments, please give me some input on which YOU think would the way to go. ( please, i m not askin what to do, i m askin for opinions, so dont start sayin you should do and such Thx)

Now enjoy and FAQ this sucka !!!!

i have to restore the edm lights, they are a bit chipped in the front, and i have to open em up, to clean the inside of the lense, its really dirty. I also have to smoke the black housin corners so that the tint looks the same as the one on the lights.

Looks great. How do you paint those? Do you have to prep the plastic and then prime it to get the paint to stick?

^^^^ The painter that will do it said that, he would sand it both lips and my skirts, primer, paint, and and clear coat. He also said something about a plastic adhesive agent, not sure on how that one works, but i ll ask more questions, its not due to be done for another few weeks. I dont even know what color i want it done yet. i keep on starin at the photoshops hehe
