94 Honda Prelude stereo not powering on

I just had some work done on my prelude (Spark plugs and spark plug wires replaced). It wouldn't even run before and the mechanic said fuel was backing up into the exhaust system and igniting. When I picked my car up from the shop the radio would not even getting power (not lighting up at all, much as less turning on). I checked the fuses (in both the radio and under the hood) and they are fine. My clock on the dash still works. I talked to my mechanic and he said they did nothing to the electrical system. So I bought a new stereo (Pioneer 2266) (Old one is a Pioneer also) and wired it in. Still no change. It isnt even lighting up. I know I have it wired in correctly. I quadruple checked that. I dont know what else to do. Any suggestions?

did you check the under dash fuse box (located next to your left foot if you're sitting in the driver's seat)?
