from the dealership all 4th gen VTEC's were rated at 190hp to the flywheel. I have no idea where you got 180 from.

Nope, USDM VTEC's were rated at 190hp.

Says so in my 1993 Dealer Brochure book.

What book are you talking about exactly? I've seen a few mechanics/performance hand books that have been totally off. I think I remember seeing one that said the SI had 140hp and the VTEC had 170 or something like that. . Don't go by any of those books.

http://asia.vtec.net/spfeature/hondaxref/ This shows all the engines...the 140hp and 170 hp might be at the wheels?

All USDM 4th Gen VTECs had 190 flywheel HP. This thread would be locked if any mods ever see it.
