'93 Si PLEASE HELP!!! I'm up **** creek w/o a paddle
I just did an f22b DOHC to H23 swap cranked fine and idled fine for about 20 minutes but after i drove it about 100 ft, it started to putter and stall. completely dying after I pushed in the clutch. The oil pressure light started flashing also. I parked the car and now it won't hold an idle without giving it some throttle. Thinking along the lines of the oil pump being bad, I just hope it's not any worse than that. I plan on draining the oil Monday when i get back to it, and inspecting the oil to make sure there is no fragments of metal. Someone please help!!!!!!!!!!
damn i had a similar problem once but i dont remember what happened... if i remember what it was ill post bak but for now i wouldnt try to keep driving it, its just gonna make it worse! good luck
Check your pickup, a lot of these imported motors have been sitting around for a long time, my pickup was clogged causing an oil light. For everything else, do you have any CELs?

Would like $1500 for it. Spun bearing...bought the salvage motor and it cranked and ran fine, until i got to going down the road and it wasn't moving oil. Basically, I am just the unluckiest MFer in Birmingham...The chassis is in great condition, the interior is good but the body needs some trim and paint. manual trans is great with a fairly new clutch. New front struts and everything but the motor works! Oh, and could use some tires...
i had a problem with the same symptoms and it ended up being the throttle position sensor its a cheap piece at advance or autozone its worth a try i think its 15 bucks i even had the oil pressure light on as well might be the same thing
