93 si 4ws overpriced?

Just curious about what PO thinks about this one...

I found a 5 speed 93 si 4ws that looks great from what I can tell. Great upkeep, garaged in the winters, 102,000 miles, doesn't look like there’s much damage other than normal wear and tear on the interior.
They want $6000 for it; quite overpriced in my book, but how often does a 17 year old car like this come along?

So.. What would you be willing to pay for a car like this?

I'm not sure where you're located, but vtec ones go for 4-4.5k here. 6k sounds way overpriced in my opinion since 5th gens go for around that much here.

Much too overpriced... I wouldn't go more than 4.5k and that is if it is in pristine shape!
Make sure it's had it's timing belt job done, water pump, fluids, etc etc. Check for the typical 5th gear grind or any other grind while shifting into gears. As far as $6000 goes, my guess is they are not going to drop their price to $4500. Ask them and see what they say, if no then wait a few months because I DOUBT they are going to sell it for that much unless some idiot or Prelude nut comes along and REALLY wants that car.

There are PLENTY of Preludes out there with low miles (yes even early to mid 90's). They are dime a dozen and you just have to have patience until the right one comes around. Watch for the ones where little rice burner kids do an engine swap on a high mileage car and hack the wiring and everything else up.

I paid $4.2k here in southern cali, clean title, VTEC, 112k miles... near mint condition... so keep your options open... even though it is a 4ws nice to have... but try to drop it to $4.5k.. if not... keep on lookin'
